Let me premise this by saying that this blog is required for class and otherwise I would not subject you to it. It’s purely photos of trash/trash bins. Let’s begin.

Separate collection bins for my apartment that are kept on the balcony. We have one for paper, plastic, glass/cans, and residual. We’re supposed to have one for food waste but apparently it broke.

Garbage truck coming to pick up paper and cardboard.

Waste collection bins in a commercial area. People need a key card to open the bins.

Dumpsters outside of the cafeteria for the University of Cagliari. The dumpsters are color-coded for what materials they contain.

A trashcan full to the brim of cans. Green is the color for glass and cans.

Outdoor trash cans at the University of Cagliari. There are four trashcans on one post to allow for separate collection, even in a public open space.

Indoor trash bins for recyclables at the University of Cagliari. One bin for glass/cans, one for paper, and one for plastic.

Trash bins at a gelateria (ice cream store). They’re not doing great at separate collection given that there are only two bins and a lot of paper has been thrown in the plastic bin.

Overhead view of a garbage truck picking up glass and cans. These ones always make a loud crash when they dump the trash bins and they wake me up.

Businesses leaving out their plastic for collection in blue bags designated for plastic waste.

If you actually read this, let me know what your favorite trash pic was!
